On Saturday 25th February a Study Day will be held at Chertsey Museum which will consider various aspects of Chertsey Abbey, its estates and the impact it had on local communities. Speakers include members of the Forum, Robert Briggs and Dr David Taylor plus Dr Mark Forrest of the Victoria County History, Wiltshire and Glouscestershire and Dr Euan Roger of The National Archives.
CBA South East and Kent Archaeological Society have arranged an 'in person' conference on Agriculture, Industry and Trade in the Roman South East. Student bursaries may be available from the organisers.

ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
9TH APRIL 2022
This year's annual Surrey Historic Environment Research Framework will be held jointly with the Council for British Archaeology South-East annual conference and themed around the subject of church archaeology. The event will be a one-day virtual conference held online, via Zoom video conferencing.
The Annual Symposium of Surrey Archaeological Society will be held online via Zoom on separate mornings - part 2 - the final part - on 13th March.
Following the great success of the 2018 conference on the transition from Roman to Saxon in the South-East, the Roman Studies Group is arranging another such event, this time focusing on the end of the Iron Age and the start of Roman Britain in our area.
This event was originally due to be held in May 2020 but was cancelled due to the Corona virus pandemic.
