AGM, SIHG Conservation Award 2009 & Talk: Restoration of Nr 6 Kempton Great Engine
The 27th SIHG Conservation Plaque will be awarded to the Kempton Great Engines Trust for its work in restoring Nr 6 engine. This be the subject of the talk and guided tour which follow the group's AGM. See Kempton Steam and map for directions. The entrance is at TW13 7ND.

Chris Roberts was a fighter pilot, a flying instructor and a test pilot.
He served a tour with the Arrows, then he was a test pilot at Dunsfold on Harriers, finally becoming a pilot with a charter airline.

Repair and Uplifting Renewal of Historic Buildings, with examples from Surrey - Society Annual Lecture - Ptolemy Dean
Ptolemy Dean, Bsc(Hons) UCL Dip Arch (Edin) RIBA, architect and artist, will present the Society's Annual Lecture this year.
Ptolemy Dean specialises in the restoration of historic buildings, as well as designing new buildings in keeping with their surroundings. He has written 'The more people who can read and enjoy historic architecture, the more importance architecture will be given in our society'
