University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland has launched a Distance Learning Programme in World Heritage Conservation, which may be of interest.

The postgraduate courses in World Heritage Conservation are part-time, online, distance learning courses designed to provide a professional understanding of the working of the World Heritage Convention and equip participants with current thinking on the conservation and sustainable development of natural and cultural heritage properties.

 

The Master’s, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in World Heritage Conservation are accessible to people from around the world and provide a flexible learning environment to participants from any discipline interested in heritage conservation. Students may apply their project work to address conservation issues at heritage sites of interest to them.

 

UCD also offers a full-time Master’s Programme in World Heritage Management, which is taught on campus in Dublin. The multi-disciplinary Master’s Programme equips students with the skills to protect, manage and promote dialogue around some of the world’s most outstanding and unique places. Topics include international legislation, conflict resolution, sustainable development, project management and marketing and heritage interpretation. The course specialises in both natural and cultural heritage and applicants with a strong primary degree from any discipline are welcome to apply.
