Evaluation by S Hoad of MoLAS, for Palace Street Leatherhead Limited, in advance of residential development. The five trenches excavated revealed that the entire site had been truncated by modern excavation.

Evaluation by K Ritchie of Wessex, for Frogmore Developments Ltd, of fields to the east of the National Grid Research Laboratories, in advance of office development. No archaeological features or finds were recovered, but the site had clearly undergone extensive disturbance in the recent past, essentially destroying it in archaeological terms.

Evaluation by R Poulton of SCAU, for Countryside Residential (South Thames) Ltd. No features of archaeological interest were revealed, although a single sherd of 13th century pottery was recovered.

A watching brief was maintained by R Poulton of SCAU, for The Michael Stanley Group, on the site of a residential development. No finds or features of archaeological interest were recorded.

Evaluation by R Poulton of SCAU, for Gosterwood Estates, on the site of a proposed lake. No features of archaeological interest were revealed, although a single worked flint blade of probable Neolithic or Mesolithic date was found.

Watching brief carried out by S Hind of SCAU, for Rusper Golf Club, on the site of a new course. No finds or features of archaeological interest were revealed.

Evaluation by R Poulton of SCAU, for English Villages Housing Association, in advance of residential development did not reveal any features or finds of archaeological interest.

Investigation by SIHG has revealed a further tile kiln type on the site. The ‘1938 separate-feed kiln’ is the seventh type of kiln to be recorded at the limeworks site. (343)

Survey undertaken under the direction of C Currie of CKCA, as part of the Community Archaeology Project, for SCC and SyAS, to assess whether the study area was suitable for designation as an Area of Special Historic Landscape Value (ASHLV).
