10.30 am Walk to Winchester Cathedral
11.00 am ‘Medieval’ Guided Tour of Cathedral
12.15 pm Lunch Break – there are plenty of opportunities to purchase lunch around the city centre or indeed to find a spot to eat your own picnic
13.10 pm Meet at Taylor/Selwyn Room, in the Education Centre, Winchester Cathedral
13.15 pm Presentations:
‘Winchester, Wessex, and the Anglo-Saxon Kings of England’: Dr Ryan Lavelle, Senior Lecturer in Medieval History, Winchester University.
‘Views of a Medieval Community’: Graham Scobie, recently retired Winchester City archaeologist.
15.00 pm Tea
15.40 pm Walk from Cathedral to St Cross Hospital
16.00 pm Guided Tour of the Hospital of St Cross
17.00 pm Close
