A joint visit by coach with the Friends of Guildford Museum, visiting the Abbey in the morning and the Roman site of Verulamium in the afternoon.

Coach departs Guildford North Street, opposite the library, at 9am and Burpham, bus stop opposite the BP garage, at 9.05am.

We shall arrive in St Albans between 10.00 and 10.30, in time for coffee before an organised tour of the Abbey. After a break for lunch the coach will take us to Verulamium, visiting the Museum and St Michael's Church on the site of the Roman Forum. There will then be free time to explore the rest of the site until the coach departs at 5pm. (Note: there is a charge for entry to the Roman Theatre: £2.50, seniors £2.00).

The cost of the trip is £26, which includes the usual gratuities.
