SIHG Talk: "The London Underground's Origins" by Chris Green (Leatherhead)

The world’s first underground public railway opened in 1863, running between Paddington and Farringdon Street in London. This talk explains why it was necessary, how it was built, and how it expanded right across our capital city.

The speaker, Chris Green, is a retired airline pilot. He will be donating his fee to the Air Ambulance (Kent Surrey Sussex) charity, at which he is a volunteer.
