If you are interested in church building architecture from the medieval time onwards, how a real life Benedictine monastery works, arts & crafts in Surrey's religious meeting places and a lot more, then sign up now for our Church History Study Tour on Saturday 5 October 2019.
Meet at 10.30am for coffee and a talk at the Benedictine monastery of St Augustine's Abbey, Sample Oak Lane, Chilworth GU4 8QR. From there, we go in our own vehicles to:
- 11.45am St. Martin’s Blackheath (1893, Arts & Crafts wall paintings)
- 12.30pm Lunch
- 2.30pm St. John the Baptist, Wonersh, medieval and later.
- Option to visit and see the exterior of St. Martha’s privately after the tour
If you'd like a pub lunch, we will be meeting at The Grantley Arms, Wonersh - please pay at the pub....or bring a packed lunch to eat outside.
